An Illinois school employee is accused of faking cancer to profit from fundraisers.
The victims include the students and faculty of the Fairfield grade school.
The fundraisers were held in 2024 and 2025 to raise money for Stacey Robbins cancer treatments.
There was also a GoFundMe created to raise money.
Some people gave hundreds of dollars, with one person donating a $1,000.
Robbins’ first court appearance is set for May 26.
