An Evansville man is facing charges after police were called to a home on Hanover Road Sunday morning.
When officers arrived, they heard a woman yelling for help and lying in the driveway.
Daniel Freels told police that he and his girlfriend had both been drinking and got into a fight.
The victim says Freels punched her in the stomach several times.
She had injuries to her face and head, along with cuts and bruising on her legs.
His charges include domestic battery, confinement, and interference with reporting a crime.
