A wrong-way driver was arrested and taken to jail after officers found his vehicle stuck on a median.
Just before 10:00 Saturday night, multiple people dialed 911 to report a car driving the wrong way on the Lloyd Expressway.
An officer in the area saw the car centered on the raised curb median with its lights on and the engine running, and Dwayne Cowans in the driver’s seat.
He claimed he only had two beers at a friend’s house a few hours earlier, but after taking field sobriety tests, officers said he blew a .214.
He was charged with DUI and wrong-way driving.
