A Madisonville man is in jail on sexual abuse charges.
Officers responded to Madisonville Manor Nursing Home on Thursday regarding the assault and spoke with the victim.
She told police that Nicholas Newman came into her room and demanded that she go to the recreation room.
The victim said Newman was armed with a knife and was telling her about his ex-wife being murdered.
She said she was scared, so she went to the room with him, where he assaulted her.
Another elderly lady came forward and stated that Newman had also come into her room and assaulted her too.
During an interview with police, Newman only admitted to kissing the victim.
