Madisonville Police Department officials say a registered sex offender is in jail after being on school grounds. According to a police report Jacob Taylor Scott was on the Hopkins County High School grounds on August 19 while being active on the Kentucky Sex Registry.
Officials say Taylor checked in at the front desk of the school and an alert showed up saying Taylor was a registered sex offender.
