A Newburgh woman charged with animal cruelty has been sentenced to two years in prison.
Kimberly Burko was convicted of being involved with her daughter, Shayna Burko, in hoarding and neglecting animals.
Deputies reportedly found 20 dogs, two birds, two turtles, three sugar gliders, one cat, two bearded dragons, one gecko, and a tank of betta fish inside the home, many of them dead.
Shayna Burko pleaded guilty but mentally ill and was sentenced in June to four years in prison.
