A Pike County woman is in jail on a $250,000 bond after a Secret Service investigation.
Deputies say Jennifer Garland embezzled $200,000 from a cemetery.
Court records show Garland was a trustee for Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Winslow.
Agents found more than 500 transactions in the cemetery’s bank account that appeared unrelated to cemetery maintenance.
The charges included payments to Garland’s credit cards, her Venmo account, and utility bills.
